Romans 10:11-17 says “…As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."…"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" … Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.

This passage from the Bible is part of the driving force behind our choice of vision statement – it sums up, clearly, how Christians are to handle the gospel message of salvation – we are to bring the saving message of Jesus to whoever we can – in the case of COINS, we work with children and young people in Newbury schools, helping them to hear & understand the message of Jesus in a way that supports and enriches the lives of local schools and enhances the curriculum.
